Before you startThis guide follows Accounting and Bookkeeping module version 1.4.5. The required access is Accounting Reports: View. What you’ll accomplish

Analyse income, cost of sales and expenses using standard, detail, comparison, year-to-date, 12-month and percentage views. It forms part of Britixo Enterprise CRM's Accounting & Bookkeeping module and uses the module's permission-aware controller, status and mapping flow rather than a generic spreadsheet process.

How the module flow works

The controller provides Profit & Loss, Detail, Comparison, Year-to-Date Comparison, 12 Months and As a Percentage of Total Income, plus budget reports.

Revenue, cost and expense grouping follows Chart of Accounts classifications and mappings.

Cash-versus-accrual settings can materially change timing; label reports accordingly.

Follow these steps

  1. Select the reporting period and basis.
  2. Run the standard Profit & Loss.
  3. Go to Detail for material accounts.
  4. Use Comparison or YTD with matched periods.
  5. Use 12 Months to identify trend.
  6. Use Percentage view to review cost structure.
  7. Compare with budget and trace variance to the ledger.

Fields and decisions to review

Profit & LossIncome and expense activity for a period.
DetailShows underlying account or transaction detail.
ComparisonCompares selected periods.
Year-to-Date ComparisonCompares cumulative results.
12 MonthsDisplays monthly activity across a year.
As % of Total IncomeShows relative cost and margin structure.
Budget variantsCompare actual results with the selected budget.

How to confirm it worked

After the action is saved, Britixo keeps the Accounting record connected to its source and updates the visible status or ledger data supported by this workflow. Review the saved result rather than relying only on a success message. Where the action posts accounting data, total debits and credits must balance and the accounts must match the approved mapping or manual selection.

  • Open the saved record and confirm its final status.
  • Review the source reference and every debit and credit line where ledger data was created.
  • Use the relevant register, ageing, reconciliation or report to verify the wider effect.

Controls, checks and common mistakes

  • Use consistent basis and dates.
  • Do not compare a partial month with a full month without explanation.
  • Review unconverted invoices and expenses.
  • Explain income-statement modifications.
  • Use the least destructive correction available and record the reason for material changes.
  • Do not bypass a permission, approval or closed-period control by changing unrelated data.
Accounting and data safetyDeletion, reset, void, refund, mapping, journal and reconciliation actions can change financial history. Use approved access, retain supporting evidence and validate the result in the General Ledger or relevant control report.
